Profile

I am a professional artist and play an active role in the arts in Sligo, Ireland. Primarily a painter, I won the Irish Arts Review Ireland–U.S. Council Portraiture Award at the RHA in 2021. I became the recipient of the inaugural In Plain Sight portraiture commission awarded by King’s Inns and The Bar of Ireland in 2022. I was commissioned by the OPW to paint the first four female senators for Seanad Éireann in 2022.

Significant recent exhibitions include Slow Heat, a solo exhibition at Claremorris Gallery, Mayo (2025); Kulturpreise des Landes Niederösterreich at NÖDOK, St. Pölten, Austria (2025); Mid-Air & Middle Ground and Preparations For The Big Wide World at Custom House Studios & Gallery, Mayo (2024); The Sligo Wave at The Model, Sligo (2024); and Lapis Lazuli at Hamilton Gallery, Sligo, travelling to Beijing (2023–24).

I am a professional member of Visual Artists Ireland and a committee member of Cairde Visual (Sligo Arts Festival).
My work is held in private and public collections including OPW, HSE, Kildare County Council, and Sligo County Council.
