These 10 small works (all 25cm x 20cm) were created for exhibition at The Doorway Gallery in their Christmas exhibition of 2017. More than 30 artists were asked to produce work of the same size and it made for an interesting show of diverse images even though the size of each piece was the same.

Ideas developed as always during the process of making these pieces. The train of thought that became dominant for me was the idea of the sky as escape, as a visual refuge from the ‘craziness’ of the world beneath it. It is a theme that I intend to pursue in the early months of 2018.
