The work I have created during the Winter and Spring of 2017 continues to depict my exploration of the effect of light, water and the atmosphere on the landscape. I try to elongate the moment via the medium of paint, to harness a split second of fascination. My intention for the paintings is that they are not realistic regarding what actually exists visually but that they are realistic in relation to my experience of that place or that moment in time.

‘Waiting for Evelyn’ is currently on show in the Royal Hibernian Academy’s 187th Annual Exhibition.
